El ‘set’ que Tortoise hace en esta grabación del canal Arte se parece bastante a lo que interpretaron por aquí, liderados por un John McEntire (con camiseta verde y boina blanca) pletórico aunque faltan el bis ‘de rigor’ de cada concierto y, sobre todo, el ‘de verdad’, que no suelen hacer (he leído por ahí que no consta que hubiesen hecho ninguno antes, pero tampoco sé si creerme tan afortunado) pero que cayó en el Palau para extásis de, como mínimo, el que suscribe :-).

U2 es muchas cosa: una línea del metro de Berlín, una banda de rock… pero, sobre todo, un avión de Lockheed, con más de cincuenta años de historia (ha sobrevivido al que debería haber sido su sucesor, el SR-71 Blackbird), capaz de volar a 70,000 pies (21 kilómetros, se dice pronto) de altura. Para celebrar los 40 años de la llegada del hombre a la Luna, James May, del programa de la BBC Top Gear, se dio el lujazo de subirse a una de las escasísimas versiones biplaza del bicho (hay tantas como cinco, en todo el mundo) y subirse hasta los límites de la atmósfera terrestre. La canción, la mejor sacarina pop (pegadiza al 100%). Y el clip combinando, entre otros ingredientes, tipografía y marcianitos. Insuperable…
